A Poem for Summer Memories

Some of my favorite memories stem from my family's annual trip to Six Flags Over Texas amusement park each summer as I was growing up.  And oh how I loved the water rides during those scorching summer days in Texas.  So here's a poem to celebrate those memories.  Head over to Michelle's monthly ditty challenge to participate with your own "me" poem HERE.

Six flags-
summer.

Waiting-
snaking lines.

Log flume-
straddle the seat.

Squealing-
splashing every turn.

Uh Oh-
chains pulling up incline.

Grabbing-
frightened knowing what comes next.

Tensing-
anticipating the freefall.

Screaming-
losing my stomach racing downhill.

Soaking-
running, getting back in line one more time!
